I Did Not Sell My Vote

I did not sell my vote to any politician
If I did, I would be a shameful man
Like someone, who bought many votes
And gave something with sample ballots.

I did not sell my vote to any chairman
If I did, he would only be a corrupt man
Like, the Philippines' incumbent leaders
Including the former and convicted ones.

I did not exchange my right and dignity
To temporal blessings and money, liably
Because if I did, I have cheated myself
My beloved country, the Filipinos, itself
