One day, it was November, 2004, I texted Auntie Eunice. I sent her a quotation that I saw in a poster, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble", not knowing that it would be seen at Psalms 46:1 and thinking that everyone of us is in trouble. She replied, "How are you?" Since, it was a couple of months since we last see each other in the church, I told her that I was in a multi-level marketing business. it was however not new to her. Thus, she told me the hardship I would encounter before I meet the wealth,promised by the marketing firm..
Then, she asked if I was still going to church, a church like our church.
No? She was amazed by my answer. I texted her back that I still was reading the Bible and watching TV show of Pastor Benny Hinn.
The next thing, I knew was she sent me two Bible passages:
1. Matthew 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and loses his own soul?"
2. Romans 10:17. 'So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God."
I have learned two important lessons from her...
