Teacher Abuse

I also have been a pupil, but I never abused my teachers. I just gave them favor, respect, honor and joy. I never been a Calvary to any of them, nor I put shame to my school or even to my adviser. I merely respected them, I treated them as my second parents and I obeyed them I long as I could.
           What happened to this generation?
I cannot see the high regard for us. I started wondering if there is a need to be proud of because the future depends on us. I don’t think the so-called future-of-the-nation is treating us humanely. They don’t even know how to say ‘’opo’‘or “po”. They also forget to build a gap between us. They thought we are on the same level, that they wanted always to come near us or they idiomatically and literally wanted to sit on our chair.
The alarming thing is teachers today has been victimized by the pupils/parents scandalous acts, which are not favored by the authority or government. If one teacher has hurt a pupil when he was in the midst of his anger, it is child abuse. If a teacher curses a pupil, when the pupil made/showed an exasperating behavior, it is child abuse. If he threatens a pupil/student that he will be expelled, dropped or failed, it is child abuse. But if they were being naughty, noisy and destructive, is it teacher abuse?
I think, no pupil or student would be pleaded guilty if they made a mischief with the school or with a teacher. They will only be suspended or be brought to the guidance counselor and be asked to write a promissory note. They will not be discharge in studies. It’s unfair!! Where’s the justice? Who will protect teachers’ right? How can we inspire students to take Education course if they will only be convicted in the future and will not be given an opportunity to defend himself for guilt that might be a fabrication?
I hope the word teacher abuse makes sense. This is an eye-opener for all of us. Let’s give the teachers something to be proud of. Don’t let them down when the going gets rough, yet protect and support their fights against child abuse. Open our eyes. Pupils and students nowadays are very far from what we were before. They are exactly our opposites.
Before, we had disciplined ourselves, we respected our teachers, we look up to them highly and we treated them just like how we treated our parents. We studied well. We had focus. We got high grades. We learned a lot—from academics to real life situations. We did not know what child abuse means. We in fact accepted how we penalized by our teachers. Most of all, we are gotten by just a look in our eyes. We are never cursed, never reprimanded and threaten. We are only praised and applauded.
To the authorities, please hear my plea.
